Sometimes my mind spins thinking of how our lives are going to change come this summer. New house in a new country with a newborn! I wonder if it will all be too much, but then again, I remember who I’m on this adventure with. I couldn’t imagine my life with anyone else other than Shane by my side.
As the house progresses and has taken real shape, so has baby and my growing belly. To look down or in the mirror and see how my body has adapted to house a little life inside of it…my mind spins again. There are crazy surreal moments, and then moments when I could almost forget that I’m pregnant. I’m so grateful to be in the second trimester, finding that I have energy and strength and no food aversions. Only cravings…for things like oranges and salads and chocolate chip cookies (the first two have to cancel out the cookies, right?).
Last week, at 18 weeks along
These were taken a little over a week ago at the house. Those dormers look out from our new office!
The snow may be pretty, but I am so ready for Spring!
This morning is an exciting one, for we have our ultrasound booked! Can’t wait to get another look at baby, and see how much he or she has grown and changed. From there we have an afternoon lined up of house errands: picking out a fireplace, countertops, flooring, etc. The decisions we have to make seem endless and really, sometimes I wish I had someone to make them for me. But the day we get to sit down to a meal in our new kitchen, or cozy up in the family room with our little one, those moments will be pretty sweet.
