Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor:
If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up…
Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10&12
Highschool sweethearts, Nikki and Jon became husband and wife this past weekend. The day was gloriously sunny as they exchanged their personal vows lakeside, at family property on Hatzic. Jon recited these verses to his bride because he knew the truth to them, that it speaks of what marriage ought to be, one that is strengthened by God. Stunning in a Maggie Sottero gown, Nikki radiated calm as she let everyone else around her worry about the unfolding of the day’s events; only one thing was one her mind, and that was taking Jon’s last name and becoming his wife. Her answer to prayer.
Nikki, it’s been delightful getting to know you and I’m incredibly happy that you’ve found your husband in Jon. We’re so thankful we could be there to document your day! Hope you two are having an amazing honeymoon in the Mayan.

Best entrance I’ve ever seen by the men!

The day was made all the more special by having her dad, who has been battling cancer, there to walk her down the aisle and proudly give his daughter away…

Not only good looking, but one seriously fun wedding party as well…

Like I said…stunning…

The day’s celebrations wrapped up at the Ramada…

Beautiful wedding. Loved all of the emotions and expressions you captured.
This is one of the most stunning weddings I have ever seen. You seemed to get it all right, every moment and expression that truly mattered, and best of all it looks so natural.
These pictures are gorgeous. They capture the moments that make a wedding day. I felt like I could have been there in person. If you ever take your camera to Sask. my family will love to participate in a photo session of fun!
Such a great entrance by the groom and his guys, love the “wisdom tree” at the reception, and Nikki’s little red braids on the side of her head are a neat little detail. Love the wedding location too.
Great shots, Mikaela.

These are amazing, Mikaela! Probably my favorite wedding yet, really. The colors are to die for :)
