Eleven years. That’s how long Stephanie and Patrick have been together. While friends and family lovingly joked that it was about time…Patrick’s speech to his new bride recounted all that they had built, all that they had learned, and all that they had shared in that time. Together. So it was fitting that in their handwritten vows, they pledged not simply their love but their commitment, for a lifetime. Vows that, as the minister said, were not only meant to be said just this once…

Stephanie and Patrick’s wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect. Just as we forecasted at their cold and rainy engagement session, the sun shone brightly and warmly at Stanley Park Pavilion in the heart of Vancouver.

The day began with this lovely sight, Stephanie’s Mikaella gown…

The girls sparkled in local Elsa Corsi jewellery

Just before Stephanie had all her makeup on, her dad handed her a card from Patrick,
telling her to hurry up, because this groom was so ready, so excited to marry his best friend.

I loved the girls’ bouquets of white peonies (favourite!), lilies & orchids.

Shane hung out with the guys as they got ready and Patrick wrote out his vows…

I’ll end with this photo because it emulates the feel of the entire day – pure celebration and happiness. Stephanie and Patrick, it was such a joy to document your wedding day.
