It was their first time at a new church in a new city, and Stephanie and Alan each walked in not realizing they were about to meet their future spouse. Little did they know, their paths had been crossing for awhile. Alan moved from his home of Taiwan and spent time studying in Montreal, Stephanie’s hometown. Then they were each being pulled to New York City but when Alan ended up moving to Vancouver, Stephanie felt God’s calling to the same city. She was perplexed by the closing doors in New York and change in direction. Of course, it was just God’s way of finally drawing their two paths together.
And so they met and grew a friendship over the next year and while there are some discrepancies over when they actually started dating, there was no question in the direction they were headed. It didn’t take long before Alan made a sure but impromptu move, getting down on bended knee and proposing marriage to Stephanie. I can’t wait to document their wedding this summer at the Museum of Vancouver. It’s where they first met and it’s where their paths will become forever entwined.

First came the proposal, and then came this stunning, custom made ring – Alan, you did good!

To wrap up our session we paid a visit to this dock, where Stephanie and Alan shared their first kiss…
