With the temper mental weather of the Pacific Northwest, summer sunshine is long awaited and touch and go. But the winter that wouldn’t let go, which turned into a cold rainy spring are fading into the past as we’re finally getting to experience summer. Even it it’s here today and gone tomorrow. So much green everywhere, flowers in full bloom, and warm sunshine on the skin. Homemade rhubarb pie, sweet strawberries, dining al fresco, and long evenings. Finally :)

And Happy Fourth of July! Here on the northern side of the border, we celebrated Canada’s birthday on Friday with a good old fashioned neighbourhood BBQ. Today, my family – including my proud American mom! – and I are driving south for a picnic and as my dad has requested, some horseshoes? Let the festivities continue…how are you celebrating??

i knew i liked your mom. :)
cookout, water balloons and fireworks…my sister’s tradition every 4th. it’s the one time i can legitimately throw things at my nieces and nephews. :)
things with water in them, that is. lol.
I just discovered your blog and am so in love. I adore the feeling your photos have…simply stunning.
