I love a wedding infused with creativity and personality, and I love a wedding that has an infectious joy and love about it…
This was the wedding of Leighton and Carlin.
Rain fell the day before and the morning of, but as the guests began to arrive for the twelve noon ceremony, the skies let up. And as the garden reception got under way, the warm sun shone on the afternoon’s activities of bocci and croquet and appetizers and speeches that had everyone (everyone) laughing and crying.
Rowena’s Inn On The River was the absolute perfect place for the wedding Carlin had planned! I was in awe of the character of the old manor and ornate details around every corner, let alone the gorgeous grounds with the tall trees, surrounding mountains and view of the river. The perfect setting for a fun and relaxed afternoon…guests spilled out onto the grass, picnic-style, while others took in lawn games. A place like this hardly needs decor but Kim and her team from Wedding Design Studio did such a beautiful job tying everything together and making the place look extra lovely – lots of soft florals, birdcages, even the sand aisle Carlin walked down to become Leighton’s wife.
Oh you two…thank you so much for the fun privilege of being your wedding photographer! I can’t get over how beautiful you are, inside and out. And your wedding was truly reflective of this.
Carlin’s gorgeous gown by Sottero and Midgley
I just can’t help but post lots of photos of Carlin…look how gorgeous!!
Loved the fresh look of the guys’ light suits…
Many thanks to my friend and second shooter for the day, Alanna Nicole, for getting great shots like this one above.
The girls’ pretty dresses were found at Aritzia. Not your typical bridesmaids dresses…just another detail in this wedding to LOVE!
Some of my favourites from the day…
Wedding Design Studio also created all the pretty bouquets for the girls including Carlin’s, overflowing with big white roses…
