What About Happy Ever After?

As I was driving into Vancouver yesterday, some upsetting news came over the radio….Brad and Emily broke up. For those of you, like me, who have been following along with this past season’s Bachelor, know exactly who I’m talking about. And may be as disappointed as I. Seriously…only a day after we watched the most perfect, Bachelor proposal, and only a day after we watched Brad and Emily’s reunion, where Brad slipped that insanely sparkly ring back on her finger? What about those ‘forever’s Brad promised Emily? What about their picnics and private island and hometown date with her daughter? You mean a relationship that evolves over the course of six weeks, with incredible trips around the world and amazing dates involving helicopters and elephants doesn’t equate to lasting power?! I’m hoping this is a rumour. It could be that by the time I post this, they will be back on. Who knows. But it was funny how the radio announcer made a good point; what about all of us who invested three months of our lives into the show, following along and living vicariously through their experiences?! What about how we feel about the situation?! But the truth is…regardless of the outcome…us fans won’t stop watching it. Will we?

If anyone has an update, let me know ;)

Makes you wonder what Emily is looking for. If she had to go on a reality show to find it and still isn’t satisfied, she clearly needs to deal with her personal issues, which we’re all aware of. Brad is attracted to her ‘hard to get’ attitude too, but I still feel for him and rather not see anyone go through the roller coaster ride of emotions, especially if she can’t see what he can offer Emily and her daughter.ReplyCancel

Mikalea!! GUESS WHAT!! It is a rumour :) I looked it up and they did an article in “People” this week and they said “Rumors have circulated that the pair have already broken up, but they remain engaged. ” I think that Emily has a right to be upset after watching those shows…. I think he was kind of all over the girls. He is 38 and he had fun with the show too.. but I do think what they have seems real. Another thing, after watching the final rose, Emily says that Brad has a REALLY bad temper…. well I think its fair that they have NEVER been on a real life date and they get to know each other and its smart that she doesnt want to end up having a husband that might beat her or her kid. I’m not saying he will… but you never know, since he does have a very bad temper. I think its fair Emily has hesitations and I hope they work it all out in the end, now that the show is done :)

I didn’t watch this season either, but I did hear on the Kid Carson show that the host of the Bachelor says “Statistically most couples don’t make it” so we’ll just have to see.ReplyCancel

I have so many mixed feelings for them. I still can’t help but think Emily deserves a better man! Though maybe Brad is just blah and bland when the cameras are around.ReplyCancel
